Vacancy

Experienced DTP/Publishing Artworker

Burnthebook: Derby, East Midlands & London, UK
Salary: Competitive salary
Job Type: Permanent with flexible home working

Burnthebook is an established creative agency with offices in Derby and London. We work with a number of high-profile international clients to develop their print and digital publishing projects. We are a growing team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced DTP/Publishing Artworker to join our busy team. We are looking for someone who is experienced in producing technical documents and brochures (often using existing guidelines), and it’s important to bear in mind that this job is much more technical and process-driven than creative.

Working mainly with Adobe InDesign, you’ll need to also have extensive experience of using Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and Word. We’ll need you to layout projects from client-supplied files and supply print-ready artwork. It’s also essential that you’re able to check artwork to spot and prevent potential print problems, so a background in print would be an advantage. As the nature of the work is technical, an eagle-eyed attention to detail and taking pride in producing high-quality work is essential, as are good written English skills. You may also be required to liaise directly with the client, so an ability to speak confidently with a friendly manner is also essential.

You must be comfortable working both by yourself and as part of a busy team, often working with remote clients via a screenshare. We’re currently working remotely, but expect to return to our office later in the year, with a flexible mix of home and office-working.

So, why should you apply?

  • We are a friendly, talented, passionate and supportive team who work together to develop skills and support your personal & professional development.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on progressive, industry leading projects with high-profile international clients.
  • We have a transparent career progression framework with personal development budget.
  • You will have flexible working opportunities in a mixture of home & office working.
  • You will be supplied with a high specification MacBook Pro.
  • Our Derby office is easily accessible with free parking and in walking distance of Derby railway station.
  • Pension scheme.
